this event has passed. stay tuned for project updates in the fall of 2019.

OVERVIEW

This workshop will be the primary creative engagement for this planning process, bringing together government & industry representatives, community leaders, business owners, and other key local representatives necessary to inform a plan of this scale. Visiting experts will bring best practices and ideas from other communities and local experts will share the unique considerations, challenges, and scope of this work in Prince Rupert.

The result will be an actionable roadmap for the next 10 years of planning & development in Prince Rupert, including plans to address downtown revitalization, waterfront improvements, parks & trail development, civic infrastructure, and more.

An inspired, forward-thinking master plan will spark investment in the downtown and other crucial areas, support the recruitment & retention of Prince Rupert’s growing labour force, help steer new housing and mixed-use developments, and create new economic opportunity in the port industry and other critical sectors.
